Committees

The following committees make up our Advisory Board and are led by a Chair and Co-Chair.

Events Committee

Suggests topics for special education sessions for members of the YPN, and develops fun educational sessions that could be taught by the YPN to all members of the participating boards (FCAR & GCAAR); helps research venues for special events and after-hour functions; develops ideas and activities for events.  Promote and insure maximum attendance at all programs, meetings and seminars.

Sponsorships/Finance Committee

Develops new and fun ways to raise funds for outreach projects and special events.  Prepares and reviews the budget and special appropriations. Determines financial policies and procedures.  Manages finances and performs bookkeeping/accounting functions.  Responsible for oversight of spending and policy decisions, tracking and analysis of administrative costs and effectiveness.

Communication Committee

Manages social media campaigns and ensures upcoming events, programs and opportunities are shared with the membership. Examine new ways of sending information to the membership. Handles press inquiries.

Marketing & Outreach Committee

Identifies and coordinates programs and activities having an external focus with an objective of influencing non-members and increasing their awareness in YPN. Works to create and plan community outreach programs in local areas; develops marketing, sponsorship and promotional pieces; works with printers.

Membership & Member Services Committee

The Membership Committee develops programs to promote membership in the Institute, monitors needs and concerns of the members, identifies activities to increase current members’ satisfaction, and oversees all member activities other than meetings, publications, subdivisions, and awards. The committee helps to recruit and maintain active members in YPN by networking and maintaining contact with potential YPN members.  Answers questions about membership and manages the Advisory Board vetting process. Work with industry contacts and cultivate new relationships within the industry to identify prospective members and develop a contact strategy.  Coordinate with the Marketing and Outreach Committee to develop and maintain new member collateral materials.
